OUR STORY

How we started

 

I first learned to bake with my mom when I was a little girl. We'd start out making easy things, like cinnamon rollups, basically pie crust dough, butter, cinnamon and sugar. Over time, I came to love the measuring, the mixing and the end results. I got away from baking as I raised my kids and added full-time employment to my life, but several years ago, I felt a pull back to the world of baking. I started experimenting with different ingredients and how they might work in cupcake form and viola, Cloud Nine Cupcakes was born! I have a wonderful taste-testing team of family and colleagues, who taste every new creation and give me honest feedback about their likes and dislikes. The cupcakes you see featured here have all been through at least one critical review, and are styled and staged in the photographs by my son. I am always on the lookout for new recipes and consider it a challenge to make your dream cupcake come to life -- if you can dream it, I can bake it!

 

I have several kinds of cupcakes that are "adult" versions -- they include alcohol, such as Guinness beer or Sangria wine. Be assured that the alcohol content bakes off, and you are left with a wonderful flavor-infused cupcake. I have made gluten-free cupcakes and am experimenting with various vegan forms, as well (with the help of my vegan daughter).

 

I really like it when customers come to me with an idea or design --some of my most requested cupcakes, like the Chocolate Chip Cupcake with Cookie Dough frosting, started out as a friend simply asking, "Can you make a cupcake that tastes like chocolate chip cookies?"

 

I bake and deliver locally in and around the Hershey, PA area. As of right now, I do not ship cupcakes, but I am looking into that process. The best way to order is via my Gmail address, but you can also follow me on Facebook.

 

In my other life, I am a clinical psychologist who loves working with adolescents. I am also mom to two adult children and numerous small animals!
